Tier 1 – Network Layer Protection | This is a network-based anti-DDoS solution that detects and stops all attack traffic before entering a customer's network. This solution rides on HGC's resilient operation infrastructure to provide very high service availability. It obtains and analyses the traffic flow information from the routers at the edge of our broadband network to provide insights into both normal and abnormal network traffic conditions. If attack is detected, the system will send an alert to customers, and HGC's Security Operation Centre (SOC) will then activate traffic redirection to the scrubbing centre for traffic data mitigation. The clean traffic will be re-routed to customers. Tier 2 – Application Layer Protection | This is an on-premise anti-DDoS solution that protects customers from application attacks that threaten service and application availability. It automatically detects and discards the attack traffic before flowing into a customers' server. Little to no user interaction is required, reducing the burden on the security team. Tier 3 – Cloud-based Layer Protection | This is a cloud-based anti-DDoS solution that includes a global scrubbing centre with the capacity to mitigate a large number of attacks. |
